When managing multiple sites within our platform, you may want to define a template with configurations that can be reused for future sites you add.
With the template feature, set up your preferred settings once. When you add new sites, new banners will automatically have these configurations, making the process of creating cookie banners a matter of seconds.
Settings configured in the template
The banner settings considered for your upcoming sites include:
- Language
- Color, position, and format
- Cookie banner texts
- Privacy Policy
- Cookie Policy
- Advanced settings (hide powered by illow, etc)
Let's see how to use it!
If we look at this first example, the banner configured on this site is the default illow banner when creating a new site.
Now, let's change some banner styles and select the site as a template.
To activate it, you can do so next to the dropdown where your loaded sites are listed on our page.
In the following image, we can see that we changed some styles, and the position of the banner. With our settings defined, we have already selected it as a Template.
Now, we will add a new site and its banner will be created with the same settings as our template. We can see how the new site has been created with the previous settings, and the icon on the previous site shows us that it is selected as a template.
When you no longer need it, if you want the configurations of a site to stop working as a template, you just go to the template icon, and click the red cross icon next to the site and confirm the decision.
